(FAME) The FAME MRI technique uses a 3dimensional fast SPGR pulse sequence to acquire high resolution images. With its short scan time, FAME is useful for dynamic liver imaging with multiple phases.

(FSPGR) A sequence similar to TurboFLASH or Turbo Field Echo.

(IR-FSPGR) This sequence uses an inversion pulse followed by a spoiled low flip angle and short TR gradient echo train to collect all partition data. The 3D-IR-FSPGR uses centric ordering of Gz. The selected TI is also the effective TI. The centric reordering strategy can lead to image blurring if a steady state is not achieved quickly with low flip angles (less than 20°).

(SPGR) The SPGR pulse sequence is similar to the spoiled GRASS sequence. The spoiled gradient recalled (SPGR) acquisition in steady state uses semi-random changes in the phase of the radio frequency (RF) pulses to produce a spatially independent phase shift.
