CE MRA of the Liver |
Dear bob mitchell:
The injction rate and amount of C.M. of liver MRA on our experience, that are the same yours. And that can got the very will artery phase around 15sec(using smart prep. to track or fluoro-trigger to mointor and catch the C.M. arrival time ) after injection C.M. Another item about the portal vein you can settle multi-phase on option menu. After artery phase then take rest to breath and BH again(about 3-5sec) then do the second phase(portal vein phase).
you can try the way.
ps: you can try to performance it combinate ASSET, it will reduction the scan time and improve the tempory resoultion.

Temperature Monitoring |
The ideal solution for temperature monitoring during MRI is by using a fibre optic temperature monitoring system.
Fibre optic has inherent distinctive advantages as they are intrinsically safe, 100% immunity to EMI and RFI hence, the temperature reading is reliable.
They are a few manufacturers for this type of system with varying price range but one thing to note is to find out if the system is suitable for human physiological use. Most systems have not gained FDA or other regulations approvals for clinical use.
System and sensor accuracy, repeatability and packaging are also important factors to keep note of.

Brain Protocol |
Hi Oscar,
depending of the indication (tumor, stroke, haemorrhage, epilepsy, inflammation, malformation....) different sequences are useful for brain MRI.
A protocol for a wide range of indications: sagittal T2, coronal Flair, transversal DWI and transversal T1 without and with contrast medium. In case of a result a second plane of a T1 sequence after contrast e.g. coronal is recommended.

Nerve stimulator / neurostimulator |
Hi all,
any experience with a nerve stimulator? I read here that it is not an absolute contraindication, but what I have to pay attention to?
