2D / 3D MRI for brain tumors diagnosis
Hello

I am a research master student, my thesis on artificial intelligence and MRI in the process of diagnosing brain tumors, the objective is to determine the type of tumor in the image.

I have not found the advantages of using a 2D image in the diagnostic process instead of 3D images, since the 3D image is richer and can be copied into two dimensional slices as well.

What role does the 2D image play in the tumor diagnostic process ?

Help - Lateral Knee Pain
Hi Everyone. I got an MRI scan recently which diagnosed a small tear in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus. I am confused because the pain is lateral around the fibula. Looking at the scan it looks like there is a lot of fluid around the fibula, can anyone tell me if this looks normal? Thanks so much for any help

receiver gain in siemens trio
Hi, we measured a phantom with two receiver gain option: LOW and HIGH (available from parameters).
We would like to calculate the difference in signal intensity, but unfortunately the rda files headers do not contain any information about the receiver gain value.
Does anyone have a clue how I could find the receiver gain value?
Thanks.

MRI Markers for Brain imaging
Does anyone use MRI markers in which the hair does not have to be shaved to attach the marker for MRI imaging of the brain? We will be scanning adolescents and do not want to shave their hair for marker placement. We thought vitamin E capsules but don't know how to "glue" it to the scalp in the precise location without shaving the hair. Also we don't want the glue to dissolve the capsule. The marker only needs to stay attached for MRI scan and then can be removed. Thank you!

Main differences in GE 9X and 12X software for Techs?
What are the main differences between the two mentioned platforms? What would a technologist have to be aware of when switching from a 9X system to a 12X system? Anyone have an literature I could access?

thanks,
