Help! Question about MRI and Pregnancy
Dear Users of MR-TIP.com,

I'm a student at the University of Applied Science in Haarlem, The Netherlands. Currently I am in my bacherlor year and doing my thesis about MRI and the (possibly) pregnant worker. My question is does anyone know a good site, database or some literature about this subject. For my thesis i'm gathering information about the different policies the Dutch hospitals are currently using when one of their radiographers is pregnant.

I hope by submitting this thread, I will get response on more usefull literature and even practical information about policies within the hospital/private clinic envirorment,

Any suggestions/help is appreciated,

Excuse me for my bad English,

Kind regards,

Luuk van Smoorenburg

ps; you can e-mail me if you have some relevant information!

What is the best review book?
Hi there, I am planning to take a cross training course for my MRI license in New York starting in September. I graduated in Rad tech in May and I can find no jobs for starting rad techs. It's very discouraging. Anyway, I am moving on to MRI but the course is only from September to January ... 5 months! Because it's so fast, I want to get a review book and start learning. I don't want to waste time with a waste of a book though. Any suggestions and why? For Rad Tech, all i needed was Appleton and Langue and I passed in the 90s. I suspect I'll need a good book of questions with good explanations once again. Thanks a lot. Ken PS. How does the job market look? Anyone in NY? Techs have suggested doing CT first but I like MRI more so I plan to do CT from January to May. Then I hope to be more employable with all 3 of these licenses. I hope to stick with MRI though as a final career goal before working on becoming a lead or something more. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

question about resolution in an MRI
Hello,
I have to hold a lecture about the resolution in MRIs.
My problem is, that I do not really understand if the resolution in an MRI can be compared with the "standard" resolution terms that you learn in physics. For example that the resolution equals 1/the distance of two points that you can see seperately.
Those equations go for optic devices like microscopes, right? Do they also account for an MRI?

And generally, how do you define resolution in an MRI and how can you enhance or change it in the practical use?

It would be great if you could help me. I have been looking for more information on the internet, but I didn't really find websites that answered my questions. Maybe you know some informative and helpful sites?

Thanks.
