Hello,

I need some help with the DTI 25 gradient directions on GE signa excite.
I'm a neuropsychology researcher and i receive some data with this protocol, but the technician cannot tell me the matrix that i need to process it. It's somthing like this:

If anybody can help me i would be very grateful.

Thanks

What´s this in L3?
You just give t2 sagital WI, that not enough for determined what the problem in L3 spine, better you asked to radiologist and show all the MRI picture. Cause i saw there lession in corpus L3 and bulging in discus L3-l4 (HNP). To know more about something in Corpus L3 you must have all sequence in MRI Lumbal exam.

Proton Density and FOV
Proton Density is often used for musculoskeletal exams with small FOVs. I know no reason why it should not work with a large FOV.
I use PD with fat suppression also for both hips with a FOV of 380 and it works.

What´s this in L3?
I´m a Dutch Physiotherapist and not trained in reading MRI images.
Yesterday my last client brought a CD with MRI-images on his first visit. He experiences a lot of lumbar pain, takes lots of painkillers and had a HNP operation earlier.

There is something strange about L3. Can you tell me what it is?

The doctor only told him there was no reason to think he had neurological problems but never mentioned this.
