Machine Opening artifact
Does anyone know anything about the artifact created by the opening of the MR. I know it is do to bending in the magnetic feild, but is there any solutions, like a simple image transform? Or is there a specific name for this problem that I could research more?

Brain Protocol
HI,

I'm technologist student, in CEFET, Brazil.
I'm looking for a Head (or Brain) Protocol for rotine exames.
If anyone have this, please, send me, I need it very much.

thanks

oscar

material with 'zero' magnetic susceptibility
Does anybody know some material, that is still easy to machine, better non-conductive and - most important - has a susceptibility close to zero. Is there composite materials that are especially made for such purposes?
I know that coils for NMR are usually made like this, but I'm looking for some material that I could make a whole NMR probe out of. It should be non-conductive, because I don't want eddy currents.

thanks in advance, Karsten

Endorem Resovist
We use Endorem for liver imaging. We will change to Resovist. Does anyone have experience with this new contrast agent? By now, we use post contrast a T2 weighted sequence with an echo time of 60 (1.5 T Intera). Do we have to pay attention to something, what’s different to Endorem?

HI Ranran,

Dynamic Stabllization should be used for DTI imgaing. Especially if you are using a high number directions. The reason is that overtime you may get a F0 drift. Using DTI and DS helps for image consistency across all directions.
Hope this helps

Dirk
