"Gadolinium Enhanced MRI" safety question? |
Is having 2 separate "Gadolinium Enhanced MRI's" within 3 days safe? I have a Gd-MRI for my SI joint scheduled. 3 days later I have another Gd-MRI for my brain. I don't have kidney problems.

fMRI of Pituitary |
Hello,
I have started project with examination of various structures in the brain on the data from fMRI. I wanted to check the behaviour of Pituitary on my data coming from fMRI. Have anyone heard of any other similar examination of Pituitary on images coming from fMRI? I could not find any paper about it.
If you can help me, I will be extremly grateful.
Thanks,
Daria

Brain T2FS postcontrast |
Gadolinium relaxation times are too short for T2 weighted imaging, so T2 weighted is not tipically performed after contrast (unless used as a delay to give contrast time to peak before T1 FS is obtained).
Also I have never worked at any facility that uses T2 fat sat imaging on the brain. Not a whole lot of fat in the brain region!
FLAIR imaging is the norm...but I could stand corrected.

I see a lesion on MRI that doesn't look like anything I know |
Imaging is becoming increasingly important in clinical Neurology. How many patients are still being diagnosed without undergoing an imaging exam? Brain MRI is a superior diagnostic tool, but can be very challenging to master. However, fast and accurate interpretation of the images is of paramount importance. Rapid advances in MR imaging mean that there is a lot of information to keep up with... Enter NeuroRadDDx: the online tool that helps you interpret brain MRI exams. It creates comprehensive differential diagnoses based on the imaging characteristics you see on your screen. To further aid you in finding in on the correct diagnosis, the software provides example MR images and links to relevant literature. intracranial cavity volume |
Hello,
As part of a clinical trial, I have been asked to calculate Intracanial cavity volumes as well as whole brain, total gray matter, and total white matter volume.
I am on a GE Signa 3.0T running 15x software.
Can anyone give me a clue on how to do this?
