Interferogram

In some cases raw data are displayable. These are typically just the real part of the complex raw data, and have been scaled to emphasize the interesting details. Therefore, they cannot be successfully transformed to reproduce the displayed images, but may help to find artifacts or the reason for bad image quality.

Interleaved Image Acquisition

The joint collection of data for two or more separate images such that a subset of k-space samples for the second image is acquired immediately after that for the first image. This method avoids misregistration between the two images and allows for accurate subtraction of the two images.

Interleaved K-Space Coverage

The sequential collection of raw data from multiple excitations such that each excitation samples multiple lines or curvilinear paths in k-space.

Interpulse Times

(T) Times between successive RF pulses used in pulse sequences. Particularly important are the inversion time (TI) in inversion recovery, and the time between 90° pulse and the subsequent 180° pulse to produce a spin echo, which will be approximately one half the spin echo time(TE). The time between repetitions of pulse sequences is the repetition time(TR).

Interrogation Time

That is the time, during which the signal from an image detector is sampled.
