Multiplanar Reconstruction

(MPR) The postprocessing reformatting of a 3D data set into 2D slices of arbitrary thickness at any angle. For a good resolution thin slices, isotropic voxel and overcontiguous slices (overlapping slices) for good signal are advantageous.

(M2DMRA) The M2D technique can be used to image both fast and slow flow, due to good refreshment of flowing blood. Using overlapping slices can reduce staircase artifacts, which might be seen in projection of the slice thickness.

See also Time of Flight Angiography.

Multiple Coil ArrayInfoSheet: - Coils -
Intro,
Overview,
etc.

RF coils, usually in receive mode, arranged to cover the whole region of interest. It has both the spatial coverage of a large region-of-interest coil and the high SNR of a surface coil.

Multiple Echo Imaging

Spin echo imaging using spin echoes acquired as a train. Typically a separate image is produced from each echo of the train.
