 - Quality Advice -

(DQA) This MRI scan or MRI procedure is used by system operators to verify system operation based on relevant image quality parameters like e.g., SNR, slice thickness, geometric distortion, slice position, image resolution and ghosting.
The quality assurance should carry out according to instructions of the manufacturer, normally using the head coil. In addition, SNR can be measured monthly on a selection of commonly used coils. Weekly recording of these parameters is recommended for clinical MRI machines, as this allows early detecting of deviations from acceptable limits.

Displacement Encoding with Stimulated EchoesInfoSheet: - Sequences -
Intro,
Overview,
Types of,

(DENSE) Displacement Encoding with Stimulated Echoes is a functional cardiac MRI pulse sequence, used to create maps of myocardial displacement with high resolution.
The DENSE magnitude images produce black blood images to show better myocard-blood contrast and to reduce motion artifacts.

This sequence type is a TSE counterpart to double echo sequences. To keep the echo train as short as possible, only echoes for PD and T2 weighted images, where the phase encoding gradient has a small amplitude, are measured separately. The echoes that determine resolution are used in both raw data matrices. This reduces the number of echoes required. Also the SAR drops and more slices can be acquired in the same repetition time.

www.isoltech.co.kr/english/product/05t.htm 'MRI system is not an expensive equipment anymore. ENCORE developed by ISOL Technology is a low cost MRI system with the advantages like of the 1.0T MRI scanner. Developed specially for the overseas market, the ENCORE is gaining popularity in the domestic market by medium sized hospitals.
Due to the optimum RF and Gradient application technology. ENCORE enables to obtain high resolution imaging and 2D/3D Angio images which was only possible in high field MR systems.'
- Less consumption of the helium gas due to the ultra-lightweight magnet specially designed and manufactured for ISOL. - Cost efficiency MR system due to air cooling type (equivalent to permanent magnetic). - Patient processing speed of less than 20 minutes.'

EP-2104RInfoSheet: - Contrast Agents -
Intro, Overview,

 - Contrast Agents -

EP-2104R is a molecularly targeted MRI contrast agent for high resolution blood clot imaging within half an hour of injection. This gadolinium based small peptide has high affinity and specificity for human fibrin.
The thrombus agent is a new class of contrast medium for the diagnostic of, e.g. deep venous thrombosis, carotid artery blood clots, coronary artery blood clots and pulmonary embolism. Fibrin is an excellent target for a molecular imaging contrast agent, since it is present in arterial and venous clots at high concentrations (20-100 μM), and is a target for fibrinolytic therapy.
Due to financial problems, the developer EPIX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. had to shut down all operations. As a consequence, the development of EP-2104R is discontinued.
